BHADARWAH: A truck driver and his helper had a narrow escape as the vehicle carrying goods fell into a gorge in Malhori area of District Doda on Monday.
According to sources, a truck bearing registration number JK02BL-4080 was on its way to Bhadarwah from Jammu, when it reached Malhori area of District Doda, on Batote-Doda National Highway, the driver lost control of the vehicle due to some technical snag in its steering and fell into a gorge.
However, the driver and helper of the truck jumped from the vehicle and survived.
The truck was loaded with goods which include Paint, Engine Oils, Grease, Medicines and others.
“Nobody is reported to receive injuries in the incident. Technical fault is stated to be the reason behind the incident,” a police official said.
Police has registered a case in this regard.
