SRINAGAR: A woman died while seven others were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
In Srinagar, a Wagon-R car bearing registration number JK01S-1748 hit and injured an old lady identified as Azi, resident of Doodh Mohallah, on Fore-Shore road near Doodh Mohallah crossing, Nishat. The injured was shifted to JVC Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Srinagar police has registered a case in this regard.
In Anantnag, a Wagon-R car bearing registration number JK03D-4412 met with an accident on Mattan Kheribal road, resulting in injuries to its driver. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, a vehicle bearing registration number JK03C-3784 driven by Ghulam Mohammad Wani, resident of Mantipora Chittergul, hit and injured a policeman identified as Javaid Ahmad of Police Station Achabal near Achabal Chowk. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. In Awantipora, an Auto Rick-shaw bearing registration number JK13C-5169 met with an accident at Kanji-nagh, resulting in injuries to five persons. All the injured were shifted to hospital. Police have registered all cases in respective police stations.
