MVIS organises Scouts and Guides Camp

SAMBA: Three days Bharat Scouts and Guides Camp hosted by MV International School concluded on Saturday in the school premises. The Director of the School, Gourav Abrol and the Principal, K.L Dogra inaugurated the camp on Thursday and it came to close today.
A total of 39 Scouts and 22 Guides attended the camp under the supervision of Harcharan Singh Pre ALT(S), Trainer Bimla Handoo HWB (G) and trainer Kanchan Sharma HWB (G) along with Scout Master, MVIS Tejinder Singh.
They learnt patrol system, hand and whistle signal, wood craft signs, tent pitching, knotting and good behaviour. They also gained the practical knowledge of First Aid, cooking, compass, pioneering, gadget and handicraft.
This was the second camp of the session where students were upgraded to Pratham Sopan, Dwitiya Sopan and Tritiya Sopan. The Management of the School emphasized on the importance of providing exposure to the students wherein they can learn about self-discipline and leadership skills so that they can be better citizens of the nation.
