RAMBAN: Legal Metrology Department (LMD) Ramban Team led by Assistant Controller Conducted extensive market checking at Banihal, Ramban, Chanderkot and Batote and imposed a fine of Rupees twenty three thousand ( Rs. 23000) on 41 earring traders for use of faulty weighting instruments, less weightment and other provision of weights measure Act.
During current month the department also realized stamping fee of 43000 from traders. The department warned the traders against unfair trade practices.
