JAMMU: The resident of Jammu West under the leadership of Sunil Dimple President, Jammu West Assembly Movement on Thursday held a protest against the CAPD Ministry for increase in the rates of ration and non availability of ration on government ration depots. The rates have been increased Atta at the rate of Rs 13/kg and rice at the rate of Rs 15/kg.
Addressing the protesters, Dimple alleged the government on one side increased the rates of ration while on other people are not getting sugar, Atta and rice on the ration depots for the last three months.
He alleged that CAPD ration is openly being black marketed on the shops of the Jammu city and in far flung area, but the consumers are not getting the same.
He demanded to arrest the black marketers of the ration, kerosene oil, LPG and the CAPD ration.
Dimple demanded the state and the central governments to exempt the sale tax and VAT on the sale of the diesel, petrol, LPG gas and the kerosene oil.
Those present in the protest were Sham Saroop, Harbans Tondon, Sat Pal Sharma, Vijay Khajuria, Madan Lal, Dev Raj, Ashok Khana, Kulwant Shasrma, Babu, Viky, Dev Raj, S Randhier Singh Bali, Akbar Khan, Bansi Lal and others.
