JAMMU: Police on Wednesday arrested a drug peddler and recovered 10 bottles of corex, 240 intoxicating capsules and 15 tablets from his possession.
According to reports, a police party of Police Post Sarwal headed by Incharge PP Sarwal, SI Kali Charan laid a Naka and signaled one alto car bearing registration No JKO2L-6933 for checking in which two persons were sitting. On seeing the police, the driver of car managed to escape from the Naka but the car was chased and intercepted. Meanwhile, the other occupant of car managed to escape and the driver was apprehended.
During search police recovered 10 corex bottles, 240 intoxicative capsules and 15 tablets from his possession.
A case FIR No. 182/2016 under relevant section was registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar. Further investigation of the case is going on.
The whole operation was supervised by SDPO City West, Nikhil Rasgotra and SP City North, Dr. Vinod Kumar.
