JAMMU: Condemning today’s Pak sponsored twin terror attacks on Army camp and BSF at Nagrota and Ramgarh respectively, scores of Panther activists spearheaded by Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP along with other leaders slammed Pakistan for its despicable cowardly act to vitiate peace and tranquility in the State, at Exhibition Ground Jammu.
The angry protestors amid raising anti-Pak slogans torched the effigy of the rogue country.
Addressing the media, Harsh lambasted Pakistan for its malicious and mischievous designs in sponsoring militant attacks on defense bases in J&K besides aiding secessionists in Kashmir and abetting terror attacks all over the country.
Condemning today’s Fidayeen attack on Army Camp at Nagrota in Jammu, he further accused Pakistan for pushing militants into our territory all along IB at Ramgarh sector in Samba under the cover of mortar shelling over BSF posts to vitiate peace and harmony of the State and the Country.
Singh said that Pakistan’s notoriety had now assumed alarming proportions as PM Nawaz Sharief, its Army Chief and dreaded clerics were blatantly supporting the secessionists and other disruptive forces operational in the State. He said that Pakistan had not been mending ways despite repeated warnings at appropriate forums and maintained that it was high time that India launched a full throttle campaign against Pakistan at international level for latter’s peace threatening terror attacks on our soil.
While taking a dig at the NDA Government, Singh regretted that the BJP which would harp on its jingoistic harangues and anti-Pak stance earlier had miserably retreated from its tall pronouncements. He recalled that PM during his speech on Indus Water Treaty earlier had categorically spelled out that blood and water could not flow together but regretted that no concrete deterrent action had been initiated against the belligerent nation so far.
He also regretted that despite several deliberations the status conferred upon Pakistan for ‘Most Favoured Nation’ had also not been withdrawn by the GoI and its repeated failures to take an appropriate decisive action had only emboldened the terror organizations working with ISI in Pakistan to execute such attacks. While paying tributes to the 3 martyrs who laid down their lives for the Motherland during the gun battle with the Fidayeens inside the 166 Field Regiment camp in Nagrota, Singh expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and hailed the valiant efforts of the Indian Army in thwarting the proxy attack by Pakistan.
He also expressed his solidarity with the six BSF men who were injured while foiling the infiltration attempt by the Fidayeens at Ramgarh sector in Samba.
Singh while accusing Pakistan for fomenting trouble in the State said that it had created dozens of terror groups in the name of ‘Jehad’ who were resorting to violence and such terror attacks. He maintained that frequency of the terror attacks on Indian forces by Pakistan called for stern measures against the rogue nation by taking the world community into confidence. He exhorted the International community to take serious cognizance of Pak’s terror attack antecedents on Indian defense personnel. He urged the UN to impose sanctions on Pakistan and ostracize the rogue nation by declaring it as a “Terrorist State” without any delay.
Prominent among those who led the protest included Rajesh Padgotra, Shankar Singh, Naresh Chib, Gagan Pratap, Shyam Gorkha, Sdr. Amrik Singh, Veerender Singh, Ashok Chauhan, Ravinder Jamwal, Udeyveer and Sansar Chand.
