SRINAGAR: SSP XI Budgam won the opening match of the T-20 Cricket Tournament being organised by District Police Budgam under Civic Action Programme at Sports Stadium, here on Monday.
In an inaugural match, SSP XI Budgam outplayed and QCC Harda Aboora by nine runs.
Batting first, SSP XI Budgam scored 135 runs for the loss of ten wickets which in reply QCC Harda Aboora only managed to score 126 for the loss of seven wickets in allotted 20 overs. In all 32 teams from the district are participating in this tournament.
Earlier, the tournament was declared open by the Chief Guest, Abdul Waheed Shah, SSP Budgam who said JKP is providing a platform to the youth to harness their capabilities in the field of sports and explore their talent.
