NC ditched people since 1975: Vakil
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Former Minister and senior leader Abdul Gani Vakil described statement of Farooq Abdullah that India can’t even dare to reclaim or snatch PoK from Pakistan as not a surprising one.
Addressing workers meeting here at Gandhi Nagar on Sunday, Vakil said that all NC leaders change their color like a chameleon and termed speaking of different languages as usual because in power they bear a different attitude both for India and Kashmir but when out of power they speak a different language full of provocation and exploitation.
Whenever Farooq Abdullah was in power either in Centre or State he unambiguously even suggested that India must go for bombing PoK and now he claims that India has no guts to claim or snatch POK, Vakil said, adding that sometimes questioning of accession by top leaders of NC also proves how much perturbed they are without power.
Describing Kashmir issue virtually a creation of National Conference leadership, Vakil said that NC ditched people at every point of time since 1975 to till date for sake and grabbing of power and played with the sentiments of the innocent masses of Kashmir.
He said that if NC leadership would have fought for rights of people of J and K in a serious and sincere manner they there would have got something desirous out of Indira-Sheikh Accord of 1975 but historical blunder committed by Sheikh Abdullah just for grabbing power in J and K has put people of this State into an unending trouble, miseries and current morose in Valley. He said that again in 1996 Farooq Abdullah under a plan passed a resolution in JK Assembly in favour of Autonomy but the then NDA Government led by Vajpayee in which his son Omar Abdullah was a Minister didn’t dare to raise his voice or even offered to resign in protest.
Vakil said that Autonomy or 1953 position now become mere a slogan and a tool which is being enjoyed and used by NC to befool people of J and K as and when required by it, but people have now understood their political gimmicks and confined their tally to 15 in last Assembly elections of 2014.
Vakil blamed NC Governments for giving birth and encouraging corruption which became a main cause of alienation amongst masses particularly youth.
Asking the present government to seriously tackle the unemployment of educated youth, Vakil said that credentials of the youth are beyond any doubt and whenever they are provided platform to serve the country and State they welcome the offer and response of such youth to recruitment rallies of BSF, CRPF or Army must be an eye opener for everyone and even they did not hesitate for applying for post of SPO against a meager consolidate income.
Putting onus on present government in eradicating
corruption, unemployment, nepotism and providing clean administrative system to people of J and K, Vakil said that government of the day
must concentrate on laying its hands on whales rather than finding scape goats in the shape of ordinary government employees.
