JAMMU: State President, Shri Ram Sena, Jammu and Kashmnir Rajiv Mahajan has lauded the Centre for its ‘bold and revolutionary’ decision of demonetizing Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 currency notes, saying it will curb black money.
“This revolutionary step will curb black money, corruption and terrorism (funding) to a large extent,” Rajiv Mahajan told reporters here on Sunday.
“The previous governments never showed the will to crackdown on black money and the present dispensation led by Narendra Modi has taken a bold step and this will strengthen the democracy,” Rajiv said.
He appealed to the people to keep calm in the prevailing situation and contribute towards the bright future of the country and consolidation of the economic structure. He said the people might have to face difficulty for few days, but it would prove beneficial in the long run.
Pointing out inconsistency in funding of political parties, Rajiv said the next course of action for the Modi Government should be to take more strong action on corrupt politicians particularly family of those rulers who rule over a country for a long period of time.
