BJP seeks apology from Farooq on PoK statement

BHADARWAH: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit of District Doda held a protest in presence of its district president Advocate Manjeet Razdan and State Secretary Manish Sharma at Doda town on Saturday against former Jammu and Kashmir Cheif Minister Farooq Abdullah’s assertion that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is not a personal property of India and asked him to tender an apology for using an unparliamentarily language related to India’s sovereignty.
BJP workers along with all the Mandal Pradhans of the district and office bearers from district and state body gathered outside DDC office Doda and raised slogans against Farooq Abdullah and also burnt his effigy for his alleged derogatory remarks against India while addressing a public rally at Kishtwar yesterday.
“It is really unfortunate and extremely condemnable that a veteran parliamentarian and former Union minister has uttered such nonsense publicly. It needs to be clarified. How can he make such a irresponsible statement? As he is fully aware of the resolution of Parliament on this. We demand an apology for the intemperate language related to our Nation,” said BJP District President Advocate Manjeet Razdan
The National Conference leader stirred controversy earlier on Friday by questioning India’s claim to PoK and said it isn’t the country’s paternal property.
“By his recent utterances, Farooq Abdullah has again proved that he is not only a irresponsible but a turncoat. How can he say this when in 1994, parliament passed the resolution in one voice regarding PoK and Farooq Abdullah and his party supported the same at that time.
This shows nothing but his desperation but this time he has gone too far and for this nation demands an apology from him,” said BJP all Morcha President Manish Sharma.
Those who spoke on the occasion include Vipan Sharma Organising General Secy, State Vice President Manish Khajuria, Sunil Dutt General Secretary Kisan Morcha, Raj Singh Kotwal and Sanjay Saraf.
UDHAMPUR: Irked workers of BJP held a massive protest rally in Udhampur against NC leader Dr Farooq Abdullah for using abusive language for respectable prime minister of country Narendra Modi who has gain worldwide respect and popularity for his good deeds. Irate workers also burnt effigy of Dr Farooq Abdullah and shouted slogans against Farooq.
According to reports large number of workers of led by BJYM and state Gen. Secy. BJP Pawan Khajuria Pawan Khajuria and Mahila Wing District President Neelam Nargotra assembled at Sallain talab locality where they held massive protest demonstration. Protestor raised anti Farooq slogans and demanded legal action against Farooq. In brief speech Khajuria said Farooq itself involved in JKCA scam which needs to probed. Khajuria said Farooq came out in support of Pakistan while every day our valiant Jawan are being martyred.
