Modi’s decision jolted life of common man: Congress

JAMMU: Congress Party State Chief G.A Mir said that the party being the principal Opposition party did not demand a role back of the demonetisation but the manner and haste in which it was implemented has disturbed and severely jolted the lives of the common man.
Mir was speaking in a meeting of the PCC executive of Jammu Province held at party headquarters here on Thursday.
“The banking services in the rural sector have totally collapsed and people are not able to use their hard earned money. Several deaths have taken place all across India, out of which 11 are bank officials who died due to stress,” Mir mentioned.
Senior Vice President, Sham Lal Sharma stressed upon all leaders and members of the Congress Party to make the Bandh called for 28th November, a complete success and involve the common masses and expose the real face of BJP before the people of the State. He also urged upon the government to make public the names of two ministers whose cash was confiscated and later released by the police in a clandestine manner. Party functionaries also discussed the ongoing membership drive of the party besides 100th year of birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi being observed all over Country throughout the year by the Congress party. They also expressed deep sympathies with the family members of three martyred soldiers who laid down their lives while guarding the nation at Machhail Sector.
The meeting was also attended by Leader CLP Nawang Rigzin Jora and all MLAs, MLCs, PCC Office Bearers, Executive Members, Heads of Frontal Organizations and District Presidents of Jammu Province.
