Integrate J&K with Union of India by amending Art 370: Bhim

JAMMU: Chief Patron, National Panthers Party (NPP), Prof. Bhim Singh, on Tuesday urged President, Pranab Kumar Mukherjee to exercise his power vested in him under Article 370 of the Indian Constitution to integrate State of Jammu and Kashmir with the rest of the country so that the so-called problem of the State is resolved once for all.
“To bring one flag and one Constitution of the Nation from Kashmir to Kanyakumari there is dire need to amend Article 370,” Bhim Singh told reporters, here.
He called on Parliament of India to end discrimination with the Indian citizens residing in Jammu and Kashmir since 1950 so that they also share fruits of freedom and fundamental rights with their brother in the rest of the country.
Singh warned the Parliament of India that if Parliament fails to deliver them justice according to their decision they took in 1947 by acceding to the Union of India, the Panthers Party shall call a exclusive congress of the residents of Jammu and Kashmir to take a decision so that they also shall share the fruit of freedom and live with honour and dignity.
