Notice served to Khokha owners for vacating State land

JAMMU: A joint drive was conducted by Revenue Department and Jammu Municipal Corporation to retrieve the encroach land from the clutches of encroachers at Jaggi Darbar, Top Paloura.
Led by SDM Jammu, Avny Lavasa, the revenue and JMC officials reached the spot and asked Khokha owners to vacate the government land.
On seeing the government officials and JMC machinery, the traders along with people of the area staged protest against the government.
Joint Commissioner, JMC, R.S Jamwal informed “Some Khokhas have been erected on state land measuring five marlas out of total state land measuring 5 Kanals at Jaggi Darbar, Top Paloura. The government has been planning to develop a parking on that area. The Khokha owners sought some time to remove their establishments.”
The SDM served a notice to the Khokha owners for vacating the state land at the earliest.
