New chiefs of CBI, IB, R&AW, search on: Report

Delhi: Chiefs of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW) all are set to retire in the month of December this year.
CBI Director Anil Sinha will retire on December 02 and Director (IB) Dineshwar Sharma and R&AW chief Rajinder Khanna are in office till end of the year.
Quoting news channels, a national television channel reported that for CBI chief, the government is going through a list of 44 IPS officers from batches between 1979 and 1982 who have CBI or vigilance experience. The top contender is said to be CBI Special Director RK Dutta (1981 Karnataka cadre). He has spent 18 years in the CBI and has handled 2G and coal block allotment cases.
On the other hand, as per the report, Delhi Police Commissioner Alok Verma (1979 batch AGMUT cadre) is also in the race. But he has no previous experience in CBI.
Another name doing the rounds is Archana Ramachandran, 1980-batch Tamil Nadu cadre IPS officer. He has previously worked in the CBI.
Also, Director General of Indo-Tibetan Border Police, KC Chaudhary (1979 Bihar cadre), is supposedly also in the reckoning together with Satish Mathur (1981 batch Maharashtra and at present DGP Maharashtra).
Meanwhile, for the next IB head, the media house reported that Rajiv Jain (1980 batch Jharkhand cadre) is the frontrunner. He is number two in IB. Jain was earlier state intelligence bureau head for Delhi and Ahmedabad.
As for R&AW, head of the Aviation Research Centre Anil Dhasmana (1980 batch, Madhya Pradesh) is reportedly the top choice. At the moment, he is number two in R&AW.
