JAMMU: National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Sunday expressed grave concern over fresh spell of ceasefire violation along the Line of Control in Krishna Gati in Poonch Sector, leading to killing of two soldiers and injuries to several others including civilians.
Dr. Abdullah said that shelling for the past few weeks has generated fear psychosis among the border dwellers, resulting in their dislocation from home and hearth. He said the brunt of border skirmishes is hugely borne by the residents of forward areas and hoped that India and Pakistan will get engaged in a meaningful dialogue bringing end to the hostilities. He said escalation in border tension has paralysed life in entire belt along the International Border and Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
The National Conference President expressed grief over the death of two soldiers and wished the injured immediate recovery.
