St. Xavier bags Volleyball title in Sportathon

JAMMU: The St. Xavier School clinched the boys’ volleyball title in the ongoing Sportathon Cup 2016, organised by KC Sports Council, here on Saturday.
In the final, St. Xavier trounced JK Public School in straight 3-0 sets. Earlier, in the semifinals, St. Xavier defeated KC International School 2-0. The competition was officiated by the technical panal including Sita Ram and David Sandhu.
Whereas the Final Match was played between St. Xavier and J K Public School in which St. Xavier won by a margin of 3 Sets .The Match was officiated by Sita Ram and David Sandhu.
Meanwhile, in the ongoing indoor cricket tournament, KC Sports Club beat JK Public School by six wickets.
JKPS, batting first, made 19 runs in nine overs. Vidhant and Anish made six and five runs respectively. For KC Sports Club, Mohd Hanzala and Abhay shared three wickets each.
In reply, KC Sports Club chased the target in 7.3 overs for the loss of four wickets. Taif and Uttkarsh made seven and six runs respectively. For JKPS, Shamil clinched three wickets.
However, in the ongoing outdoor cricket event, JK Public School registered a two wickets win against Army Public School (APS) Domana.
APS, batting first, made 29 runs in 10 overs. Anmol and Amit scored seven and six runs respectively. For JKPS, Aditya picked four wickets and Anish and Shamil shared two wickets each. In reply, JKPS, chased the target in 7.3 overs for the loss of eight wickets. Tathagaya and Dhruv made nine and seven runs respectively. For APS, Saqib took three wickets and Samragya grabbed two wickets.
