Reasi bus accident; accused driver arrested

REASI: Police on Friday arrested the accused driver who was absconding after the accident in Reasi in which 23 people lost their lives.
According to a report, on 20th October 2016, an accident took place at Jyotipuram in which large number of causalities were reported and on this case FIR No.154/2016 under section 323/337/304/RPC was filed. In all, 23 persons lost their lives and 38 persons got injured. The accused driver namely Rashpal Singh son of Punjab resident Salal Hemina Tehsil Reasi fled away from the place of occurrence as Reasi Police was busy in rescuing the injured persons from the site.
Although Police was able to safeguard the property of victims which included jewellery and cash but the alleged accused person was absconding since the date of occurrence and evaded his arrest by hiding himself outside state. After hectic efforts police team led by Sub Inspector Gurvinder Singh, In-Charge Police Post Jyotipuram under the supervision of Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, SHO Police Station Reasi and Mujeeb-Ur-Rehman, Dy.SP Hqrs. Reasi was able to catch the accused driver Rashpal Singh from, Himachal Pradesh after series of raids.
