JAMMU: Jammu Vishal Stars on Tuesday qualified for the final of the ongoing Diwali Twenty20 Under-15 boys’ cricket tournament, organised by Vishal Club in collaboration with Jammu Police at Parade Ground, here.
In today’s match, Jammu Vishal Stars defeated Singh Akhnoor Lions by nine wickets. Batting first, Singh Akhnoor Lions made 83 runs for the loss of six wickets in 18 overs. Rohit (34), Sugam (20) and Nanit (17) were the main scorers. Ashim Nanda took two wickets while Jugjap and Sachin shared one each.
Jammu Vishal Stars, in reply, chased the target in the 11.3 overs for the loss of one wicket. Swastik Sharma scored 24 runs, Akshit made 21 runs and Aryaveer added 10 runs to the total. Monu took a lone wicket. Swastik Sharma was declared Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by the technical panel including Sadiq Hussain, Sandeep Manchanda, Sanjay Manchanda, Vinod and Shugul.
