Thumbs down to Parrikar! Who do the Service Chiefs look up to for the redress of their issues, with a clueless Raksha Mantri (RM) at the helm? The armed forces are in a sullen mood – the ham-handed OROP fiasco, with the hon’ble RM not knowing the difference between VRS and PMR; inspecting a guard of honour attired shabbily; unable to placate the forces by addressing their concerns, especially the Seventh Pay Commission; tom-tomming the strikes like it was a political victory; and now the latest pathetic utterances on trying to placate the forces on ‘rank down’. Within the MoD, who is the boss? The right hand does not know what the left is up to. An appeal to the hon’ble Prime Minister – Please, stop these people from playing with the sentiments of the forces and resolve pending issues at the soonest. Remember the adage, horses for courses.
