courtMumbai:- A sessions court conducting the trial in the 26/11 Mumbai attack case has rejected the plea of accused Sayed Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal for recalling Pakistani-American terrorist David Colemen Headley for further cross-examination.

Sessions Judge G A Sanap rejected the application yesterday moved by Wahab Khan, Jundal’s lawyer, in which he pleaded that Headley needs to be cross-examined further, and hence, the LeT operative may be recalled.

However, Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam opposed the application stating that Khan himself had told the court that he needs four days to cross-examine and the time was granted by the court.

Headley was examined by the prosecution in February this year for five days while the defence examined him for four days, after he agreed to become an approver in the case and the court had granted him pardon.

Headley, who is in jail in the US, had deposed through video conference facility.
