JAMMU: Shri Vaishno Devi Sewa Committee Baridaran (SVDSCB) on Tuesday termed appointment of self style Rachhpal Singh as president of the committee as bogus and misleading and also threatens to take legal action for using organization’s name.
Addressing a joint press conference here on Tuesday, Vice President of committee Shanker Dass and General Secretary, Chhanker Singh said that SVDSCB is duly registered organization of over 30,000 souls of Baridars who are erstwhile caretakers of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi.
They added that the organization is ably represent by President Sher Singh , whose election was held on 23rd December, 2015 under the supervision of 51-members committee at committees headquarters Shri Dhar Sabha, Katra. They said as per constitution of the organization the term of president is set as minimum three years and self style president is also one of the signatures in the appointment documents of Sher Singh. They further said that yesterday a meeting of all Baridars was held at Katra where a resolution was passed to condemn the appointment of self style president.
They said that Sher Singh is still elected president , under whose able leadership Baridaran had submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, MoS, PMO Dr Jitendra Singh , senior RSS Leader Indresh Kumar , VHP leadership to get justice for the community. The office bearers of committee said that there is only one organization of Baridaran and the committee will take legal action against self style president if he fails to step down and continue using name of the organization.
Other members of committee includes Vishal Sharma, Sham Singh, Rattan Singh Sarpanch, Ram Parshad, Baldev Raj, Karan Singh, Kuldeep, Divya Sudershan and Vijay were also presented.
