JAMMU: Northern Zone Insurance Employees’ Association (NZIEA) is going to organise 31st General Conference from on 23rd to 25th October 2016 at Abhinav Theatre, here.
This was stated by A.K Bhatnagar, General Secretary NZIEA in a press conference, here on Friday.
Near about 500 delegates and observers from Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir will be participating in the said conference, he said.
“Diamond Jubilee year conference is being held at such a time when Dalits, minorities, women, workers, students and farmers are the targets at the hands of Central Government,” he said adding that communal forces are attacking democratic forces and common man is not safe in the nation. The FDI, labour laws, contractual system, privatisation of Public Sector Undertaking (PSUs) and other issues which are harmful for the welfare of the people will be discussed in the conference, he informed.
On 23rd October, he said, rally will be organised by the NZIEA at 9:30 AM from Abhinav Theatre which will pass through Jewel Chowk, Gummat, Swami Vivekanad Chowk, Dogra Chowk and culminate at Abhinav Theatre. The Diamond Jubilee year conference will be inaugurated by M.Y Tarigami, State President CITU and MLA CPI(M), Kulgam.
Amanulla Khan, President, V Ramesh Gen Secretary, B Sanyal, Joint Secretary, B.S Ravi, Treasurer of All India Insurance Employees’ Association and A.K Bhainagar, Gen Secretary, NZIEA, S.P Kesar (CITU) who is Chairman Reception Committee, will address the participants in the conference.
R.C Sharma, President NZIEA will preside over the conference.
Devi Dass-Organising Secretary NZIEA, Naveen Chand-Secretary NZIEA, Ravinder Sharma-Assistant Treasurer NZIEA, A.M Tantray and Pawan Gapta President and Divisional Secretary NZIEA Srinagar Division were present in the press conference.
