RAJOURI: A big tragedy was averted when workers of a road maintenance party recovered ammunition and explosives from the road side at Darhali Morh, Rajouri. Apprehensions prevail that the consignment was kept by the terrorists to execute a blast at some selected point.
The team immediately informed the army and the police which rushed to the spot and recovered 34 live cartridges of pika gun and 28 HE-36 grenades.
The area has been cordoned off to carry out search for the anti national elements or more quantity of arms and ammunition which may be hidden in the area.
