JAMMU: Organised by the Kashmir Singh Sangat under the aegis of Hockey Jammu and Kashmir, the Second Shaheed Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial Hockey Tournament shall be played at K K Hakku Stadium, here from 26th October to 3rd November. “Around 16 teams have confirmed their participation with the organising committee. The event shall be played on knock-out basis following the laid down norms of the Hockey India,” General Secretary of the Hockey J and K, Gurdeep Singh Bakshi said. As per the already drawn fixture, the opening day shall witness two matches. In the inaugural match, Zorawar Club Satwari shall take on Kathua Hockey Club at 1:00 PM, followed by the second match between Deshmesh Club Nanak Nagar and BSF Kashmir at 2:15 PM. Other participating teams are Khalsa Club Gole Gujral, Young Star Simbal Camp, KSS Hockey Club, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Club, GNN Club Nanak Nagar, BSF Jammu, J and K Police, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Hockey Club, Hira Nagar Club, Bhargav Public School, Ajit Club Gole Gujral and MBS Club Simbal Camp.
