JAMMU: President, All Jammu and Kashmir Saini Sabha, Ravi Kumar Saini expressed anguish over a self-styled organisation of the community which has come into being without their knowledge.
Addressing a press conference here today, Ravi Kumar Saini along with office bearers of the Sabha termed the new organisation as fake and self-styled, saying its members did not have the mandate of the community members.
He said he had been duly elected by the community as Biradari President and would continue to hold the post till fresh elections were held.
“The self-styled organisation claims to have held polls at Bishnah even as the Biradari organisation headquartered at Arnia. As the whole exercise has taken place unlawfully without the knowledge of the community, we outrightly reject the nomination of self-styled Chairman Kamal Saini, retired IGP, and self-styled President Surjeet Singh Saini, retired Brigadier,” Ravi asserted.
“I represent All J and K Saini Sabha which is registered with J and K Government with its registration No is 846-S 1984,” he informed.
He said as per the Sabha Constitution, elections are held after every five years. As the term of the present body, headed by me, expires in six months, polls will be held within this time.
Ravi Kumar said Kamal Saini, who had joined PDP after retirement, had been resorting to such mischiefs earlier also just to show to the party high command that he had a grip over his community.
