SSP Jammu for disposing crime cases on fast track basis

JAMMU: Senior Superinten-dent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Dr. Sunil Gupta asked the officers to dispose the crime cases on fast track basis in order to give the relief to the general public. He said this during crime review meeting of Police Sub-Division City South, which was attended by SP City South Shehzad Ahmed Salaria, SDPO City South Sachin Gupta, SHO Police Station Gandhi Nagar, Satwari, Gangyal, Incharge Police Post Digiana, Gadigarh, Chatha, Phallian Mandal, Belicharana, Nehru Market, Greater Kaliash and Investigating Officers of these units. The main focus of the meeting was investigation of burglary, motor vehicle theft, NDPS Act and other cases. Besides, missing persons, inquest proceedings, arrest of absconders and action taken under preventive measures were also reviewed.
SSP Jammu personally checked the case files of heinous offences and taking serious note of it and directed I/Os to improve the quality of investigation and speedy disposal of cases assigned to them for conducting the investigation. He also advised the police stations staff to conduct foot patrolling in their respective jurisdictions and make the beat system stronger to avoid theft and other incidents. In the end, the investigating staff was directed to conduct the investigation of cases with zeal, dedication and with transparency at an earliest possible time in the public interest and bring the pendency to the minimum.
