CEC LAHDC reviews status of Industrial Estate Phyang

LEH: The Chief Executive Councilor (CEC), LAHDC, Leh Dr. Sonam Dawa Lonpo reviewed the physical and financial status of ongoing works of Industrial Estate Phyang at a meeting held here on Saturday.
General Manager, District Industries Centre, Leh and Executive Councilor for Works, Dorjey Mutup, Tehsilder Leh, Gyurmet Namgial and Programme Manager DIC, Leh, Zakir Hussian were also present in the meeting.
Setting dateline for timely completion of different works, CEC directed BDO Leh, Tsering Angcuk to complete the remaining chain link fencing works including erection of main gates with sign boards on road sides within a week time.
He also directed Executive Engineer PDD, Spalzang to establish all the procured transformers by 15th November, 2016 and prepare DPR for connecting industrial area with separate dedicated power line from Basgo. He also directed Executive Engineer PHE, Sonam Angcuk to complete all the works by the end of March 2017 and also instructed him to bore additional one bore well if possible. Executive Engineer R&B, Dorjey Gytso was also directed to complete the remaining road and drainage works at the earliest.
Dr Dawa instructed EC Dorjey Mutup to ensure maximum coordination among the executing agencies so that we could equipped the Industrial Estate Phyang in every respect by end of March 2017 and directed all the concerned HoDs to give monthly expenditure statement to DIC, Leh so that we could demand additional funds from the government.
He also directed GM DIC, Leh, Urgain Lundup to keep the provision of parking and park facility within the industrial area and strictly instructed him to keep no provision for residential use of industrial area when allotted.
Earlier, while assessing the progress of different works being executed by RDD, PDD, PHE and PWD Departments, CEC was informed by GM DIC, Leh Urgain Lundup that the project of Industrial Estate Phyang stands sanctioned under State Sector with a total estimated cost of Rs 585.03 lakh out of which till date Rs 235.71 lakh has been released and an expenditure of Rs 110.71 lakh been achieved in last financial year (2015-16). Development of Industrial Area at Nurba Diskt, Khaltsi and Kharu also came into discussion.
