LEH: The ninth annual Apex Adventure Tours Motorcycle Rally on road safety awareness was flagged off from the Cultural Academy Office Leh, by Senior Superintendent of Police Leh, Tsering Gyalpo on Sunday. The motorcycle rally will go all the way up to Suru Valley in Kargil raising road safety awareness among public of both Leh and Kargil Districts of Ladakh. Special Officer for Culture Tsewang Paljor said that in close coordination of ARTO bikers will raise awareness of road safety in Kargil District also. The rally of 40 bikers will culminate on 12th October at Leh with a concluding function wherein bikers and supporters of the rally will be felicitated by CLP Leader and MLA Leh Nawang Rigzin with certificates, mementos and prizes.
Talking about several motorcycle accidents on Leh- Manali Road this year taking lives of many, SSP Leh hoped that such rallies will hopefully reduce road accidents in future.
