POONCH: District Poonch Boxing Championship concluded with the holding of prize distribution function at Sports Stadium, here. The event was held under the aegis of J and K Amateur Boxing Association. The DySP DAR, M.R Giri was Chief Guest, who gave away the medals amidst appreciation for the organisers, especially the coach of J and K State Sports Council, Mushtaq Ahmed. The bouts were officiated by the technical panel including Parampreet Singh, Satyajeet Sasan, Tushar Khajuria, Gourav Sharma and Tanveer A. Dar. Senior Hockey Coach, Sham Lal Sharma, Incharge Manager, N.K Sharma, Prem Luthra and Ram Parkash were also present. The Results: Finals: 49- 52 kg: Sajil beat Hanish. 24-26 kg: Mehrose defeated Tariq. 26-28 kg: Zaheer trounced Sharib.
