RAJOURI: Police on Saturday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by arresting two smugglers and recuing eight bovines from their clutches.
As per the details, Rajouri Police led by SHO Police Statoin Thanamandi Inspr. Surinder Khadyal on intervening night of 7th -8th October 2016, on a specific information laid Naka at Churang Bridge. During Naka checking, police seized one TATA Mobile bearing registration No.JK11B-4668 and rescued eight bovines which were on its way from Rajouri to Srinagar via Thanamandi-Mughal Road without any permission.
Two smugglers were also arrested by the police which were identified as Sheraz Ahmed son of Abdul Hamid resident of Behrote and Mushtaq Ahmed son of Sezar Mohd resident of Saaj.
A case vide FIR No.188/2016, 188 RPC, 3 PCA was registered at Police Station Thanamandi.
