JAMMU: In view of prevailing tension on border, senior National Conference leader and former Minister Ajay Sadhotra on Sunday visited border villages of Marh Block and met the people.
He assured the border people that at this time of disturbance, he and his workers will always be at their beck and call.
Sadhotra demanded that government should ensure proper basic facilities for those border people who moved to camps established by the government.
He said the border people should be provided proper place for living, food, water, electricity, sanitation and healthcare.
National Conference leader also demanded that transportation should be provided to the border people for moving from camp to their villages.
He asked the government to arrange 5,000 tents so that the border people could be made to stay village-wise in tents provided to them.
