J&K doctor becomes BCCI level-1 physio

JAMMU: Young doctor from Jammu, Karan Nayyar has earned the distinction of becoming Level-1 Physio of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Sports physiotherapist, Dr Karan underwent a five days course conducted by BCCI at National Cricket Academy (NCA Bangalore) recently. “Team India Physio, Patrick Farhart a nd NCA Head Physio, Andrew Leipus were course instructors at NCA Bangalore,” Dr Karan told.
Dr Karan has already undertaken various assignments of J and K Cricket Association (JKCA) in junior age groups of under-14, under-19 and under-23. He has also been
instrumental in giving valuable tips to young athletes in other sports disciplines like
football, handball and wrestling in the State.
Son of former Ranji Trophy cricketer, Harsh Nayyar, Dr Karan Nayyar is also certified sports physio from Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
