Check posts were opened as SSP Leh, along with team of police officers, visited Nubra valley from 3rd to 5th September to assess and review security scenario and law and order. According to sources while giving warm reception to the visiting Police team, people from the border areas urged SSP to address the social issues they are confronting with. Responding to people’s plight, police department assured early redressal of issues and problems. However, police asked people to maintain liaison with the police department in the interest of all.
Later, the team visited Diggar, Tangyar, Shayok and Warila to assess the condition of road because Warila and Shayok roads are alternative connectivity to Nubra valley in case of closure of Khardongla due to snowfall and other natural calamities.
