JAMMU: In the Public Interest Litigation filed by Welfare Association of Shareholders of Sheen Finance and Investment (India), Sheen Agro Plantation Ltd and Sheen Road Links Limited, a Division Bench of State High Court comprising First Puisine Judge Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar and Justice B.S Walia after hearing Advocate O.P Thakur for the petitioners whereas AAG W.S Nargal for the State, observed that in terms of the earlier order a report has been filed by the SSP Jammu indicating the steps taken and the difficulty in proceeding with the investigation.
Division Bench after hearing counsel for the state respondents whose submission is that SSP Jammu and the Investigating Officer oIO are unable to proceed in the matter as the SSP Crime Branch is also investigating the issue parallel and therefore, as in between two agencies, there is difficulty in dealing with the issue.
Division Bench in view of the matter, directed DGP J and K to go into the issue and designate an appropriate officer to proceed with the investigation and directed that action taken report be submitted on next date of hearing.
