BHADARWAH: To expr-ess their solidarity with the people of Kashmir and to lodge its protest against district administration and police for detaining and implicating youth reportedly on the behest of RSS and BJP, Anjuman Islamia Bhadarwah has given a shutdown call for tomorrow.
Anjuman alleged that by falsely implicating and arresting youth under draconian laws, authorities and some communal politicians are hell-bent to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere of Chenab Valley.
“We are deeply concerned over the plight of Kashmiri people, who have been suffering for the last 51 days and both Union and State Government instead of giving a heeling touch are putting salt to their wounds by giving irresponsible statements and justifying the atrocities of security forces,” said President, Anjuman-e-Islamia, Pervaiz Ahmed Sheikh.
“Up till now we have maintained utmost restr-aint and have lodged our protest peacefully in a democratic way despite several attempts of instigation by communal forces and police. But now, it seems that administration has started taking us for granted, that’s why Doda Police without any reason is arresting and implicating spree of youth which clearly shows that they are trying to instigate the sentiments of the community,” Sheikh added.
It is notable to mention here that a few days back district administration evoked PSA against a teenager student of Dessa area and more recently have started arresting some youth of particular community including a renowned social worker and lawyer.
“Doda Police arrested a social worker, Advocate Baber-ul-Islaam by implicating him falsely on the behest of RSS backed politicians. This communal attitude cannot be tolerated and to show our resentment, we have given a shutdown call for tomorrow,” Anjuman Pres-ident said.
