JAMMU: Khour- Jourian Zone lifted the inter-zonal district level under-19 boys’ cricket title beating Jammu Zone by a margin of 13 runs in the final played at GGM Science College Ground, here. The competition was organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS).
Earlier, batting first, Khour Zone set a target of 100 runs for the loss of four wickets in allotted 15 overs. Vishal and Robin remained top scorers with 50 and 33 runs in their respective accounts. From Jammu Zone, Smad and Deepak bagged three and one wicket respectively.
In reply, Jammu Zone could not maintain the required run-rate and exhausted their quota of 15 overs for 86 runs with three wickets in hand.
Areeb and Samad rem-ained top scorers with 23 and 19 runs respectively. For Jourian zone, Robin took two wickets while Vishal and Vicky shared apiece each.
The final was officiated by the technical panel including Saleem-ul-Rehman, Sadhiq Hussain, Suresh Singh, Madan Mohan, Farooq Ahmed, Jagtar Singh and Satika Sharma.
