VC JU interacts with alumni

JAMMU: Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof. R.D Sharma on Tuesday interacted with the alumni of the university.
The Vice-Chancellor said that Alumni of an institution plays a vital role and such meets also provide platform for the current students to interact with them. Prof Sharma encouraged the alumni to use the platform for mutual interactions and collaborations.
“Such interactions will create learning opportunities for the current students, by providing them feedback on the changes taking place in the world” added Prof. Sharma.
He also sought the suggestions of the alumni from the various fields to harness the educational system.
While highlighting the achievements of the university, the Vice- Chancellor also added that the university rigorously follows the academic calendar and conducts the examinations on time which is reflected by the hard work put in by all the functionaries in the system. However, efforts need to be directed at making the system self sustainable for which he sought suggestions from the alumni. The alumni present at the function gave their feedback and suggestions for the betterment of the University.
Prof. Poonam Dhawan, Dean Academic Affairs, presented her views on how the system can benefit from the contributions of the alumni through better connectivity while Prof. Keshav Sharma, Registrar University of Jammu, thanked the alumni for their interest in making the university the best in India along global standards.
Earlier, Prof. B. C. Sharma, Dean Students Placement and Director, The Business School welcomed the guests and the alumni, while Prof. Satnam Kour, Dean Students Welfare, presented a vote of thanks.
