KATRA: Additional Chief Executive Officer of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), Dr Piyush Singla on Tuesday declared open the Seventh J and K State Shooting Championship, organised by J and K Rifle Association at SMVDSB Indoor Shooting Range, here.
About 300 shooters drawn from various districts of the State are participating in this six-day championship in Sub Junior, Youth, Junior and Senior categories in pistol and rifle events.
The Chief Guest, speaking to the gathering, lauded the efforts of the association and encouraged the participants.
Earlier, Senior Vice President of the Association, Kuldeep Singh Jamwal apprised the audience about the activities of the association.
Among others present were Dr. Karwani Dy. CEO SMVDSB, Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, General Secretary of JKOA, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary of J and K State Sports Council, Ashok Kumar, Director Sports SMVDSB , Mohan Lal SSP, Ravinder Singh, Rakesh Wazir, Sham Keser, Sher Singh, Zorawar Singh, T.S Toni, Anupam Sambyal, Vineet Gupta, Rajiv Sharma and Sharat Chander Singh.
The matches will be conducted by qualified coaches/technical officials Rajesh Virdhy, Surinder Singh, Tarun Dev Singh and Ajay as per NRAI rules.
