JAMMU: Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu, students won number of positions in various District Level Championships (Under 19 and 17) organised by the Department of Youth Service and Sports, Jammu, at MA Stadium and Gulshan Ground from 19th to 20th August 2016.
In Badminton, Savinay Mengi-XI A (U-19) won the title by defeating Udhampur District by 21-14, 21-13 in Singles and by 15-21, 21-7, 21-16 in Doubles.
Ankur Kaushal-X J (U-17), won gold medal in Team Relay-Rope Skipping and silver medal in Individual Speed Sprint 30 sec in Inter District Rope Skipping.
In Inter District Chess Tournament Soham Kamotra- (U-17), stood as Title Winner and Navdeep Singh and Superb Jain made it up to Fourth position. Savinay Mengi, Ankur Kaushal and Soham Kamotra have been selected for State level Competition which is going to be held later.
Principal, Ruchi Chabra congratulated and lauded the efforts of all the winners, their parents and the coaches Preeti Gupta, Meenu Raghesh and Suresh for the achievement. President RCT, Ajatshatru Singh, PVC Ritu Singh and Director S.S Sodhi also conveyed their best wishes to all the winners and their parents.
