JAMMU: Joint Secretary (Jammu) of J and K State Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma on Monday declared open the First Jammu District Sixth Red Ball Championship and 24th Jammu District Sub-junior and Junior Billiard and Snooker Championship at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here.
He was formally welcomed by General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association, Vishal Abrol.
Prominent among others present were President of the Association, Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman, Siddharth Sharma, Rajan Sharma (Sports Officer), Satish Gupta (Manager Indoor Complex), Senior Vice President, Jaideep Manocha, Nikhil Kaphai (Vice President) and Sohail Khalid (Treasurer).
Also present were executive members, Ishul Chodwary, Ishan Chodwary, Arun Gulati and Abhishek Pathania, Vidit Gawri and Kashif Ahmed. Gurjeev Singh will be the Organising Secretary and Rakesh Sharma will be the official marker for the tournament.
The Detailed Results: Umer Sheikh beat Pawan Sharma 3-0 (61-45, 38-28, 33-26); Aditiya defeated Geet 3-2 ( 20-31, 18-30, 43-21, 34-31, 37-24); Gagandeep Singh blanked beat Akash Mahajan 3-1 (46-43, 41-25, 31-54, 41-0).
