Police conducts painting competition

JAMMU: To promote the nationalism and patriotism among the students on Independence Day 2016, Jammu Police organised a painting competition here on Saturday in District Police Lines, Jammu.
The competition was organised under the directions of SSP Jammu in which a total of 100 students participated from 30-35 Schools of Jammu district i.e. Doon International, Ranbir Higher Secondary School, DBN Amar Villa Talab Tillo, St. Peter School, Army Public School Ratnu Chak, Govt. Boy Higher Secondary School Nowabad, MC Khalsa Higher Secondary School, JK Police Public School Miran Sahib, Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School R S Pura, Gandhi Memorial Higher Secondary School R S Pura, Govt Boys. Higher Secondary School Bishnah, Convent Higher Secondary School Bishnah, K.V No. 1 Akhnoor, Jagriti Shiksha Kendra H S Khour etc.
Milan Sharma, Instructor, Painting Department Jammu University, Rakesh Sharma, Senior Instructor, Applied Art Department, Jammu University and Bhushan Kesar Artist and Art Educator were the judges of this competition.
Monu Gupta Member, PWWA was the Chief Guest and Dr. Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu was the Guest of Honour. Besides, other guests, R.C Kotwal, SP Hqrs. Jammu, Rajesh Gill, Chief Prosecuting Officer, NHRC, Jammu, Gourav Mahajan, Dy.SP, DAR DPL Jammu and Sugandha Mahajan, Dy. SP Hqrs. Jammu were present on the occasion. During the competition students worked with great dedication and enthusiasm to show their art and ability.
At the end of competition following students were declared best painters by the Judges. The winners were awarded with trophies and certificates. Participation certificates were also given to each participants.
In Senior Category Jaideep Singh of Doon International School Jammu, Mohd Shahzad Abdullah of Army Public School Ratnu Chak and Gouri Shankar of Tiny Tots Higher Secondary School Jammu bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In Junior Category Roshni Singh of JK Police Public School Miran Shaib, Ganesh Bharadwaj of New Model School Chak Malal and Mazma of Doon International School Jammu bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
