KARGIL: At least 10 girls, drawn from different parts of Ladakh, successfully attended the 12-day long exclusive Horse Polo Camp that culminated with the holding of an exhibition game at Bhimbhat Shagaran Polo Ground, here on Saturday.
The camp was organised by Himalayan Sports and Cultural Organisation Drass in collaboration with SECMOL Leh. On this occasion, SDM Drass, Barkat Ali Nizami was Chief Guest while Commander 56 Mountain Brigade, Brigadier H Bhalla was Guest of Honour.
Speaking to the gathering, the SDM appreciated Mohammad Amin and his organisation for his efforts to revive and promote the traditional sports, especially by way of generating interest among the women folk.
