Teaching assistants from UK visit GD Goenka

JAMMU: GD Goenka Public School, Jammu welcomed two teaching assistants from United Kingdom under Generation UK India programme which aims to build collaboration and trust between UK and India. It is an initiative by Government of India and UK to integrate teaching learning process of India and UK. To mark the importance of this programme, special assembly was conducted in the school wherein the two teaching assistants were welcomed by the Goenkans. The students presented a welcome song to apprise the guests with rich Indian tradition. Principal, Rajesh Rathore presented a bouquet to the guests and introduced the two teaching assistants to the audience, who will be adding new dimensions to the perception of students in various fields of learning for the next five months. Abi Marx, a graduate in law and German, pursuing her masters in International Security from the University of Nottingham and Beth Ballintyne, a graduate in Chemistry from the University of East Anglina, Bristol. Goenkans are quite excited to have their inspiring company for the stipulated time period. We wish both the Teaching Assistants great time ahead. The vision of this exchange program is to create globally competitive workforce. This program further aims on internationalisation of academic institutions.
