REASI: Keeping in view the present security scenario on the forthcoming Independence Day, the security of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine and Shivkhori Shrine has been tightened by Sujit Kumar, SSP Reasi on ground and high alert has been announced across District Reasi.
Special security arrangements have been made to avoid any eventuality like long route patrolling jointly with army for area domination at high ridges, joint Nakas of District Police alongwith CRPF have been activated at Moori, Balini, Panthal, Ransoo etc. besides the sources have been put on the job. All Police Stations/PPs/ SPPs/PCPs/Nakas are interconnected through wireless network and phones for sharing of information. Checking/frisking of all types of vehicles at PCPs /Nakas is also going on 24×7.
QRTs at Fawwara Chowk, Ambika Chowk, Railway Front and rear Asia Chowk etc. have also been deployed at Katra to meet any exigency. Moreover, the surveillance over the bad elements is going on through CCTVs in Katra. All the forces deployed in district Reasi have also been put on high alert. Army authorities have also been requested to dominate the high ridges / district border to avoid any infiltration of bad elements from adjoining districts. All the Police Stations, PPs and SPPs have been directed to maintain dominance on all the routes as well as high ridges jointly with army. A joint PCR has been established at DPL Reasi for receiving and sharing of information with the forces and civil administration for timely action. Further District SSP Sujit Kumar, has also made an appeal to the general public of district Reasi to assist the District Police in maintaining peace in whole District and don’t spread or heed any rumours.
If any serious types of suspicious activities are noticed, the same should be informed to PCR Reasi on landline No.01991-245076 or mobile No.9622856295 or nearby Police Station/ Police Post/ PCP / Naka for further course of action. Public co-ordination with the district Police to provide them best service is highly solicited.
