JAMMU: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) welcomed the statement of Prime Minister Narender Modi over Kashmir in which he clearly indicated that there would not be any talks with separatists or anything outside the Indian Constitution.
KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri stated that the manner Modi has pegged the Kashmir unrest on the development, is quite clear that Government of India will not go much into the political nuance of the problem and will remain committed over development of the State.
However, Kundan Kashmiri expressed dismay for playing soft on separatists and separatist ideologies by State Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti and showing reluctance for heavy hand action against separatists, radicalists, pro Pak elements and stone pelters in the Valley and he has also shown resentment over Mehabooba’s statement for demanded healing touch only for Kashmiri’s and their youths in the valley, who have allegedly suffered only from the last 27 days, but unfortunately she forgotten the KP community for the said healing touch which is in exile for the last 27 years.
KPC Chief said it is an irony that Mehabooba Mufti appealed to the Prime Minister to reach out to the people of Kashmir to mitigate their problems, but unfortunately she forgotten to reach out KPs and their over-aged youths and employees who are worst victims on Dharna at Jammu for the last 24 days.
KPC Chief demanded that strong action should be initiated against separatists, pro-Pak elements and stone pelters who continuously fuilled the present unrest in the Kashmir Valley and also demanded healing touch to KP community and sought justice to be delivered to PM Package employees immediately by adjusting them in Jammu region and their salaries to be released at the earliest.
