JAMMU: Regional Director, Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Jammu, Balwant Thakur alongwith Director General of ICCR C. Rajashekher and other members of the Indian Cultural Delegation today called on by Hu Sishe, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries at Beijing, China here.
The members of Indian Cultural Delegation were given a warm reception at Taijichang, the headquarters of cultural and educational exchanges of China. The Vice President of Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries desired to have much closer cultural and educational ties as both the countries have lot of similarities to share and explore to further strengthen the cultural and mutual relations between India and China. On the invitation of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, a four member cultural delegation of India is on a tour to China to attend 10th China International Folk Art Festival which is currently going on in Xining city of China. Earlier, the Indian Cultural Delegation was given a warm reception at Xining city of China where they participated in the opening of 10th China International Folk Art Festival in which they witnessed the spectacular performances by USA, Philippines, China, South Korea, Japan, Kyrgyz Republic, Magnolia, Netherlands, Ireland, Finland, Fiji, Argentina and India.
