President ICC calls on Jitendra

NEW DELHI: Newly elected President of Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Aditya V. Agarwal, Director of Emami Group of Companies met MoS PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh here on Tuesday. He was accompanied by ICC Secretary General Rajeev Singh.
Agarwal gave Singh a detailed resume of the plans to widen the activities of the ICC as well as enlarge investment areas across the country and particularly in the North-Eastern region. He said the ICC looks forward to Singh in his capacity as DoNER Minister to support and help in carrying forward the ICC plans.
Singh called upon the ICC President and Secretary General to encourage business entrepreneurs and trade leaders, particularly in fruit and tourism industry, to explore avenues in Northeast. He said, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the “organic farming” plan has been moving forward on a very fast track in the last two years and Sikkim has already achieved the distinction of becoming the first “Organic State” of India.
With rapidly enlarging rail network, national highways and more frequent air flights to new destinations, he said, Northeast soon is bound to emerge as a favourite destination for cost-effective entrepreneurship and profitable Start-up ventures.
