SAMBA: Boys of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Samba clinched the volleyball title by defeating Army Public School Samba 2-1 in the Inter School Zone Level under-19 Tournament being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports District Samba, here on Monday.
Inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Subash Chander Bhardwaj, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Samba, the tournament is being held under the supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZEPO) Samba, Rakesh Verma.
A total of 153 students including 134 boys and 19 girls are participating in the event.
Today’s matches were officiated by the technical panels comprising Anirudh Singh Slathia, Kulbir Singh, Sumant Singh, Subash Sharma, Zorawar Singh Sambyal, Raj Kumar, Mukesh Sharma, Arjun Kumar, Gopal Sharma, Bhupinder Singh, Sandeep Singh, Keshav Singh, Shashi Sambyal, Chanchla Devi, Roopa Sambyal, Seema Sharma, Suman Bala and Asha Rani.
The final results
BOYS: Kho-Kho: NV Dhalote outplayed GHSS Nud by three points. Kabbadi: GHSS Sumb outplayed NV Dhalote by 15 points.
GIRLS: Kho-Kho: GHSS Nud trounced GHSS Sumb by four points.
