STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Describing the situation in Kashmir Valley as very grim and more grave as it used to be in early nineties, Chief Spokesperson of JKPCC, Ravinder Sharma expressed serious concern over the spread of unrest in some parts of erstwhile Doda District and Rajouri-Poonch, which could disturb the holy Machhail and Budha Amarnath Yatra.
Reacting to the series of daily developments in the Valley clearly indicating the worst situation with no Government in sight to handle the situation, Sharma expressed great concern over the growing situation in several parts of Jammu region especially erstwhile Doda district and parts of Rajouri-Poonch where some provocative incidents by the miscreants are being ignored and underplayed by the present dispensation, especially the BJP which is a mute spectator to the entire situation in the lust of power.
Sharma cautioned that if adequate and effective measures are not taken well in time, it can lead to ugly situation any moment by a spark of provocation, as the minority community is facing atmosphere of fear insecurity besides witness to certain highly objectionable actions and anti-national slogans by some mischievous elements, during the protests
Sharma said that already the Amarnath Yatra has been disturbed with lowest ever number this year, due to the current situation and the worst treatment faced by the pilgrims, but the spread of the present situation to the parts of Jammu region would adversely affect the Machhail Yatra and Budha Amarnath Yatra and hurt the religious sentiments of the people. He appealed people to maintain vigil about the designs of antinational and anti-social forces to disturb religious hormony and asked to the Govt. to take strong notice of the emerging situation and take effective measures before the situations go out of control and the religious Yatras are affected.
